CATEGORY C1 - 7.5 TONNE VEHICLE
Course Pre-Requisites
Candidates are required to hold a current full UK Driving License, Drivers who passed a car test on or after 1 January 1997 are required to pass an additional driving test in order to gain this category of licence.
Step 1 Full Medical - Can be obtained through any local GP (prices may vary) *D4 Form Required
Step 2 Provisional Entitlement - Using the *D2 Form Section 1 Tick which Category you require,
for example for 7.5t Lorry training you will need to tick Category C1
Step 3 Theory Test - The Theory Test is in 2 parts Multiple Choice and Hazard Perception Theory test's can be booked through the DSA
Our Local Theory Test Centre's are Portsmouth, Southampton and Fareham

LORRY MOUNTED LOADER (HIAB)
The HIAB training course is designed for candidates who wish to be able to operate a Lorry Mounted Loader (HIAB).
The course provides practical and theoretical training in the safe and efficient operation of lorry loaders, also known as HIABs.

CATEGORY C+E - ARTICULATED VEHICLE
Articulated Commercial Vehicle Training Course - The Articulated Commercial Vehicle (Artic) training course is designed for candidates who wish to obtain a Category C+E Licence New drivers must first hold a Category C Licence to complete this course.
The course provides practical and theoretical training in the safe and efficient operation of Articulated Commercial Vehicles also known as 'Artics'.

Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence
The Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK. It has been developed as a requirement of the EU Directive 2003/59, which is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional LGV and PCV drivers throughout their working life. There are two parts to the legislation:
The Initial Qualification that must be achieved by new LGV and PCV drivers along with their vocational licence to enable them to use their licence professionally.
Periodic Training, which involves all professional drivers undertaking 35 hours of training every 5 years .
